Leading Tomorrow's Farming
Eastern India Pesticides Association (EIPA) was the apex association of Crop Protection Companies in East till June23. It was the major body of the crop protection industry based out of Kolkata to look after the interest of trade and farmers. From its inception in 1991, we at EIPA have seen many challenges as well as opportunities in facilitating and promoting crop protection business in eastern India.
Now, we have changed our name & style of EIPA from Societies Act to East India Crop Care Association (EICCA) under Section -8 company under Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India effective July23. Twenty-six companies covering multinationals, India based international, and domestic companies are members at present for EICCA.

Our focus areas of Activities
- ❖Promotion of the use of Crop Protection Products and other plant protection chemicals in Eastern states and to assist crop protection industry to grow towards securing self-sufficiency in food production to increase the reputation of crop protection industry.
- ❖Awareness development amongst stakeholders of industry, particularly of farmers to educate them of contribution of crop protection chemicals in increasing farm and farmer income.
- ❖To promote good farming practices amongst farmers towards safe and judicious application of pesticides.
- ❖To promote safer and newer chemistry molecules to stakeholders of industry.
- ❖Training of dealers and distributors on crop knowledge and right recommendation of plant protection chemicals following label claims.
- ❖To undertake steps for prevention, sale, and use of counterfeit products by educating the farmers to recognize genuine products before purchase.
- ❖To collect and circulate statistics and other information relating to trade, commerce, and industry to its members to improve the general awareness of persons engaged in the crop protection industry.
